About

From sensors to self-driving.

I’m Can Keçilioğlu, a mechatronics engineering student at the Turkish-German University (TGU). I work where embedded robotics meets AI — building software and hardware for machines that sense their surroundings and act on them, and I’m always prototyping the next idea.

On the car I lead a ROS2-based stack: perception with YOLO and LaneNet, sensor fusion across LiDAR, camera and IMU, SLAM and path planning, all running in real time on embedded Linux and NVIDIA Jetson. Lately I’ve been going deeper into deep learning to push the perception and decision-making further.

Alongside the team I’m a process development engineer at Bosch’s powertrain plant in Bursa, on the data and Industry-4.0 side of high-precision manufacturing. I like problems that span software, hardware and the real world — and I care about systems that hold up outside the demo.

Experience

  1. Process Development EngineerBosch — Powertrain Solutions

    2026 — Present

    Industry-4.0 process engineering on high-precision diesel-injection lines in Bursa: machine-data analysis (spindle load, vibration) for predictive maintenance, SPC/Cpk for micron tolerances, and OEE / cycle-time optimization with shopfloor root-cause work.

  2. Software Team LeadTAC — TGU Autonomous Car

    2025 — Present

    Lead the software division of a TEKNOFEST-finalist self-driving vehicle. Own the ROS2 architecture and build perception (YOLO, LaneNet, OpenCV), sensor fusion (LiDAR / camera / IMU), SLAM and path planning — running in real time on embedded Linux + NVIDIA Jetson. Run code reviews and mentor the team.

  3. Autonomous Driving Software EngineerTAC — TGU Autonomous Car

    2023 — 2025

    Built mapping, odometry, motion control and navigation in ROS2; sensor integration and data processing for autonomous driving in C++ / Python on Linux.
